In past, the land of Ethiopia has suffered widespread poverty, hunger and natural catastrophes. In addition, the country has experienced civil wars extensive human rights violations. As a result, the people have been compelled to flee their country into exile. Above all, the loss of millions of people to the widespread poverty, civil wars, wars, hunger, misery and illness should not be forgotten. By reports televised throughout the world, the has been made aware of the hundreds of thousands of starving people of Ethiopia, including children and the toll taken by the civil war in Ethiopia. The primary aims of the Ethiopian Samaritan Relief Organization is to improve the standard of living of the Ethiopian people by securing food and income for the population and assist in solving the socioeconomic problems of the people, in particular children and youth. Above all, we would like to reach out those who have not heard the Gospel before and show the love of God. In the last our relief organization has been involved in development projects with our Christian partners and organizations in Ethiopia. The organization has already exerted a great deal of efforts to make a difference in people's lives by building schools, kindergartens and providing vocational training for our youth.
OBJECTIVIES OF THE ORGANIZATION.
- To awaken public awareness of the current social situation and inform the donors of the economical situation of the country.
- To support various development projects in Ethiopia, such as orphanages, schools, churches, kindergartens and vocational training programs for the youth.
- To reach out the unsaved souls with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and to expand his kingdom.
- To serve and aid the affected people and provide rehabilitation and development assistance.
- To provide financial support to our evangelists so that they are able to spread the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ to the lost ones.
